Example biodata format for jobs

Notice that there are two pages in the document. The first one you will see as soon as you make a copy is an example of a biodata format we have created to show you how the fully completed biodata will look. As you can see, the completed biodata looks really simple, easy to read and professionally-made. Your biodata also will look like the example when you have finished updating all your details.

Editing the biodata on google docs

Scroll down to next page, the page below the first page, you will see a blank template ofr biodata. This is what you should edit to create your biodata.

Freely start typing in the second page, starting from filling up personal details, then educational qualifications and then any training and certifications you may have completed.

If you have any doubt while updating your details on the biodata format, you can always refer to the first page to see how to update a given section.

You can change the font style, color or table width as you need; but, we would suggest that you do not change any of the formatting settings since we have already chosen the most professional settings for designing this biodata format.

You would also notice that there is no space for adding your photograph. It is on purpose. the reason is photograph is a very personal detail and it should not be freely added to documents. So we suggest that you add your photograph to the printed out version of your biodata and only if the person receiving the biodata for employment or any other reason requests your photograph. Otherwise, there is no need to add a photograph to your biodata.

You can delete any of the rows you do not want from the biodata by right clicking and selecting "delete row". Similarly, you can also add new rows by right-clicking and selecting "insert rows". We have already selected the most relevant and minimum required information to be on the biodata so you may not need to delete or add new rows, but we are letting you know that the flexibility is there for you to edit your biodata whichever way you want.

Educational Qualifications

Once you have completed updating the personal details, move to the next section, which is your educational qualifications. Starting from SSLC, you can update details for each of the rows. Rename the qualification name to whatever you need. For example, you have done a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering after 10th standard, then edit the HSC to Diploma.

Similarly, if you do not need the row for post-graduation, simply delete the row by right-clicking on that specific row and selecting delete row. It is very easy.

Expert bio data tip!

It is okay to not add your photograph

It is not a standard requirement to add a photograph to your biodata. So, add your photo to the biodata only if the employer or whoever you are submitting your biodata needs it. Always ecxercise caution.

Training and Certifications details

Once you completed the educational details section, now you should move to the Training and Certifications section. In this section, one-by-one list down all training you attended and certificates you have acheved.

One thing to keep in mind when updating this section is, you should include training and certification that are important for employment purposes. There is no need to include all the training you may have attended.

For example, if you are looking for jobs as a Mechanical Engineering appprentice after your Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, there is no need to include the embroidery training you attended in your school days.

How to Download, Email or Print your biodata

Finally, you are now ready to download, email or print your biodta. Once you have filled up the form and your bidoata is ready, delete the example we have provided. Else, when you print, you will also get the example in your biodata. So make sure to delete the page which is not required. As you can see in the images below, click on File on the top left side of the screen once you finished updating and choose the relevant option that fits your purpose.

Select an option from download, print or email

If you selected the Print option, you will get a nice pdf version of your biodata, which you can send via whatsapp or attach to emails to send to a printer for a print out or to anyone else who wants to receive a copy of your biodata.

Save your biodata for future referneces

Finally, once you downloaded your final biodata as a pdf or a word document or any other version, make sure to save it in a location on your pc/laptop/tab or on your phone in a location you can easily access so when you need to submit your biodata or you need to print it, you know where to find it.

Also, save the link to where you saved your biodata online. Don't worry, your biodata is accessible only to you since you would have created on your gmail account.

Note that we will not have access to your biodata, so you do not have worry that someone will have access to your personal information. That is why we ask you first to make a copy of the biodata and edit that version.
